Monday
5:30 - 6:30
Beginner Yoga
Traditional Hatha yoga taught so as to be accessible to new students. Classes progress from simple stretches to warm and loosen the body into more challenging poses to help build strength and improve balance. This class is designed to be appropriate for any level student, but caters to the student new to yoga so they can practice without fear of being lost.
7:00 - 8:00
Restorative Yoga
I often say the hardest thing that I, or any teacher will ask is for you “to do nothing”. Restorative yoga is the practice of surrender into a pose without using muscle or searching for a deep stretch. It is the practice of simply allowing the body to open slowly with the aid of props and stillness. It’s the ideal practice for learning to quiet the mind and find rest enabling the body to untie the knots of being human.
Friday
5:30 - 6:30
Intermediate
This class allows for the practice to be linked with breath and movement. Typically, this is a faster paced class where poses are held for few breaths and often movement happens quickly. The practice is meant to be a moving meditation in which the practitioner can move through their body without overthinking. The class is taught for all levels, though may be challenging for students new to the mat (having a few Beginning Hatha classes prior to flow is highly recommended). Students can expect to explore more challenging poses such as arm balances or inversions, challenge their balance, build strength and flexibility.
